The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter - the Office) together with the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior has started implementation of the 1st stage of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund project – “Modernization of the Software Platform of the Unified Migration Information System”. 

The main goal of the project is to establish for the nationals of third countries, as well as other interested persons a convenient, modern and user-friendly e-service of residence permits which will enable remote submission of the documents. This would save the time of clients as well as facilitate the process of submission of documents. It is planned that within the framework of the e-service the clients will be able to submit documents for requesting residence permits and receive decisions made by the Office.

Introduction of the free of charge e-service will allow the clients to gain high-quality experience of the service as it will be available at any place and time, as well as both all submitted documents and decisions made by the Office will be easy to review and available in one place.

Within the framework of the project it is planned to continue development of the digitalization processes of the documents enabling the transition to the digital flow of documents, as well as to introduce an information line where the clients will be able to receive answers to questions about migration, residence permits, visas.

The total funding of the project is 1 600 000 EUR, out of them the funding of the fund is 1 200 000 EUR and co-funding of the state budget –  400 000 EUR. The project will last until 30 June 2025.
