According to Cabinet Regulations No. 1004 of 24 September 2013 “Regulations regarding the State Fee for documenting the Renunciation of Latvian Citizenship and Restoration of Citizenship”, the state fee for documenting the restoration of Latvian citizenship is 21.34 EUR.

The state fee is reduced in amount for victims of political repressions, persons with a disability of group I, orphans, children without parental care, and persons who are recognised as poor persons by operation of law, and the fee’s amount is of 7.11 EUR (a supporting document should be presented).

The persons who wish to restore the citizenship lost due to a legal error or unlawful revocation are exempted from paying the state fee.

If you are paying for the service by wire transfer in a credit institution or internet bank, please take into account that the processing of the payment may take several days. If payment has not been received by the Treasury, the OCMA is not entitled to provide the requested service!

According to the amendments to legal acts, the internet bank printouts, payment orders approved by the banks and other documents confirming payment are not considered as confirmation that the service has been paid for. 

When applying for the service in an accelerated procedure (drafting certifications, accelerated execution of passports and eID, etc.), we suggest making the payment for the service in the OCMA division with a bank payment card.
