European Regional Development Fund project No. 2.2.1.1/17/I/006 “Modernization of Personal Data Services”
Project goal:
- To ensure unified and centralized registration and record-keeping of foreigners in public administration;
- To open Latvia's electronic environment to foreigners, providing them with the opportunity to use public administration e-services and secure communication with institutions in Latvia;
- To facilitate the management and verification of the status assigned to individuals.
Project implementation period: 08.03.2018. – 07.07.2021.
Project implemented by: Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) with the following cooperation partners involved in the Project:
- State Regional Development Agency
- Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior
- Culture Information Systems Centre
- State Revenue Service
- Register of Enterprises
- Court Administration
- State Social Insurance Agency
- Latvian Sworn Notaries Council
Project budget: 5,000,000 EUR, of which 85% or 4,250,000 EUR are covered by the European Regional Development Fund financial resources.
Planned activities in the project:
- Planning of the Personal Data Register Information System (hereinafter FPRIS);
- development of requirements for consulting and quality management procurement;
- procurement of FPRIS development and implementation support;
- software security audit and performance audit procurement;
- project implementation supervision procurement.
- FPRIS development:
- development of FPRIS software;
- creation of data exchange functionalities for registering foreigner's data and translating first names and last names into Latvian;
- development of new services and improvement of existing services;
- allocation of virtual identities.
- FPRIS implementation, including:
- data migration;
- training for administrators and users.
