Taking into account that the Song and Dance Festival will be attended and participated in by many representatives of the diaspora, the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter - the Office) Riga 1st Division will be open on Saturday, 8 July, from 8.00 to 15.00 to provide Latvian citizens and non-citizens with additional opportunities during the festival to process personal identity documents.
“We invite both participants and spectators of the Song and Dance Festival, especially compatriots from the diaspora, to use the opportunity to apply for and obtain personal identity documents on Saturday, 8 July, in the spirit of the festival,” encourages Maira Roze, Head of the Office.
The services will be provided both on a “live queue” basis – a certain number of service numbers will be allocated and each customer with a service number will be served according to his or her turn in the queue – and by making a prior appointment.
Prior appointment can be made on the website of the Office www.pmlp.gov.lv in the “Online Appointment” section or by calling 67829750 or 67829775.
On Saturday, you will also be able to queue for documents to be processed or collected remotely via the Qticket mobile application. This way, customers can save time and only go to the division when the service time is approaching.
For a successful service, it is compulsory to bring the old personal identity document to the exchange of the new passport and/or eID card, which will have to be handed in at the division.
We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the service for the processing and issuing of eID cards for residence permits will not be provided on Saturdays.
Riga 1st Division of the Office is located at Čiekurkalna 1. līnija 1, k-3.
