The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – the OCMA) continues to improve its services and has introduced the possibility to apply in the queue remotely using the Qticket mobile application in Riga divisions to apply not only for a permanent residence permit, but also a temporary residence permit.

“The OCMA is working relentlessly to make services even more accessible to customers. The Qticket mobile application has already proven itself in operation, it allows customers to save time and more conveniently apply for services at the OCMA,” emphasizes Maira Roze, Head of the Office.

This solution allows you to join the queue remotely by downloading the Qticket mobile app on your smartphone, so you know in advance the provisional time when it will be your turn to receive the service.

The upgrade allows you to follow the queue for each specific division online. You can apply for the service, for example, when you are still at home or when you approach the OCMA’s division. This way, you can only go to the division when it’s close to service time. The OCMA points out that you can join the queue remotely 30 minutes after the start of the opening hours.

At the same time, the Office reminds that it is possible to apply for and issue an eID card for a residence permit after a positive decision on the right of residence in the Republic of Latvia has been received from the OCMA.

Currently, you can join the queue remotely at four branches – Riga 1st Division, Riga 2nd Division, Riga 3rd Division and Riga 4th Division. It is also possible to apply for a permanent or temporary residence permit on a live queue or by applying for a service on a specific date and at a specific Division using the online application tool on the website of the OCMA www.pmlp.gov.lv or the mobile app Qticket.

The Qticket mobile app is available for download on Google Play https://bit.ly/3qD7nh0 or on App Store https://apple.co/3bCQoXS
